Helping great visionaries lead with strategy.

Hi, I'm Ryan!

Thanks for joining me on the journey of leading with strategy. I believe the local church has the potential to make the greatest impact in our world. And I believe that impact is greatest when leaders narrow their focus, set clear priorities, and guide their teams toward intentional action. That’s what Leading with Strategy is all about.

I serve as the Co-Founder and Executive Pastor of Nuvo Church. We're a church plant in Columbus, OH for people with doubts and questions of faith.

Prior to that, I had the privelege of serving as the Executive Pastor of Ministry at Rock Bridge Community Church. Rock Bridge is a 6-campus church in North Georgia and the Tennessee Valley with a mission to connect people from all walks of life to life in Christ. I couldn't be more grateful for my time there.

Previously, I served as Director of Expansion for NewPointe Community Church, focused on the launch and continued development of new campuses in Ohio. I’ve experienced the challenges and opportunities that exist within multisite ministry and planting churches in new areas. My time in ministry began as the Strategic Analyst for Mount Paran Church, helping a church with a great history redevelop its mission, values, strategy, and programming structure to continue reaching Atlanta. I know what it’s like to lead change within a large church that has a hundred year legacy of success.

I’ve also spent time serving with The Unstuck Group, a consulting organization led by Tony Morgan. They help churches grow their impact through church consulting and coaching experiences designed to focus vision, strategy, and action. To put it simply, they help churches get unstuck. If you’re looking for an outside perspective, I highly recommend you get to know their team.

With Tony Morgan, I co-authored Vital Signs: Meaningful Metrics That Keep a Pulse on Your Church’s Health. I’ve also written regularly on strategic leadership within church ministry at TonyMorganLive.com and here at LeadingWithStrategy.com. I’ve also had articles featured by organizations such as Outreach MagazineOrange Leaders, and ChurchLeaders.com.

I have a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University and degrees in Business Administration and Discipleship Ministry from Lee University. I’m passionate about the use of business principles for strategic change within the local church.

My wife Emily is a former counselor who daily helps me keep my head on my shoulders. Together, we have the joy of raising Addie, the craziest 3-year-old you'll meet.

I love connecting with other leaders so please don’t hesitate to reach out!
